Set Design Plans

The production design team have begun to design the set based upon the needs of the story:

Looking at their initial plans, I’ve already started to think about where we can place the camera and what kind of shots we can use in the space we have. I will begin researching shots that we can possibly use.

After consolidation as a group with the production designers, we decided upon a plan for the sets. We had some problems in terms of size and also the practicalities of constructing a set so large. We were however able to simplify the measurements in order to make it easier to construct. As cinematographer, I had to talk through where I envisioned the blocking of the camera to be and what would be shown in frame; which in turn had an impact on the layout and where the props such as the trophies and the dressing such as the fridge would go.
