Reviewing Group Dynamics Cont.
At this point of the project, I feel that we are still very much working well as a group. By now, we've gone into our separate departments, art department, cinematography, set design etc. Whilst I feel that I may not have contributed a lot on the art side of things such as the colour pallet or the set dressing, I've been thinking through about the shot types and the cinematography of the film. That being said I have been able to contribute my brother's football trophies as part of the set dressing; as a visual indication of the character's former successes as a football player.
I've communicated closely with the production design team about the set layout and how it's going to affect the shots. I've also had several conversations with the director Georgie about what she would like to see in the shots; I've suggested some things and taken on board what she's said also.
That being said, we are a little set back with the storyboard. The storyboard artist, although their drawings our outstanding, is taking too long to give us what we need to visualise the frames at this point. Myself and Oscar as the cinematography team have consulted with Isabel our production manager who has good drawing skills, to map out a storyboard that although sketchy, is clear in showing what we want to see in frame, the actions of the character and the movement of the camera.
