Pitch Day

We decided to alter our idea slightly before the pitch, changing it from an old man, to an ex semi pro footballer who recently ended up in an accident and is only just starting to deal with his wheelchair bound state. We also thought it would be an idea to manipulate the set to make things seem far away; by elongating it. Or by possibly playing around with the dolly zoom effect and high angles to achieve the same effect:

Then we have our pitch:

In the end, Idea one was selected as the story for our film. Matt, Steve, Hollie and Lee feel that there is potential to tell an emotional story set around one character. Pre-production begins next week.

Looking Back over the pitch, we as a group wanted to make sure that we didn't give a soft pitch for any idea and that we all had an equal input in presenting what we put together. Thus we each chose a section to talk about in the pitch that we felt we could communicate best and unbiased. My role in particular was the introduction of the pitch and explaining the synopsis of Idea 2. I also encouraged the group leading up to the pitch to go in with a confident outlook and I feel that we delivered just that in our pitch.
