Digital Pre-visualisation of Set

As we progress into laying out our film in stone, we're able to take a look at how our plans for the set on paper fit together visually. Lucy; our production designer has put together a digital mock up of our set and where key pieces of furniture; such as the sofa, table, cabinets and fridge are placed. This gives us an idea on how our actor is going to move around the set; which in turn gives me as cinematographer, the perspective on where the best angles will be to place the camera and how these angles will correlate with the current shot list.

So far, most of the angles shown in the images match where I want to place the camera for mid shots and close ups. However, there may be some difficulty in the shot where the camera follows the wheelchair round the sofa then pulls out to the actor getting in. Because the coffee table is in front of him, there will be very little room for the camera to move; let alone fitting in the wheelchair.

I will take these factors into consideration as I revise the shot list with the director Georgie and the producers Marlon and Lilli.
