Adjusting The Idea

We need to finalise our idea into a fully-fledged story. As such we set about structuring act 3 as a group to write into a synopsis.

After having a discussion with Matt, we have now agreed that we don’t need any of the extra action or characters. For example, the sobbing scene is not something someone of the character’s athletically motivated mind might do. Instead, there is much more raw emotion in frustration and aggression he takes in trying to get something out of the fridge by banging it. Also, the inclusion of the son is not necessary as it takes us out of the story we’re telling about the athlete in the wheelchair and the whole film must be centred on him in order to connect the audience to the emotion we’re trying to create.
